What if the life beneath your life has been trying to get your attention for a while now?

The Unfolding is a year-long, in-person circle for women ready to be seen, supported, and held through the seasons of life - guided by two trained coaches and practitioners, shaped by the women beside you.

There’s something you want to
make room for.

You're already living a good, full, meaningful life, and still there are places that you want to explore and open. Maybe it's the project you can't stop thinking about but never make time for, work that could hold more meaning, creativity, and freedom, or the parts of you that used to write, dance, build, wander, and risk without needing a reason why.

You know what you want, but you keep talking yourself out of it. You make choices others would approve of and tell yourself to be satisfied. The courage to want is there, but it's been elusive: the permission to want more, want less, or want something entirely different.

Whether you've done years of therapy, coaching, and retreats or none at all, what matters is that you're ready to do something different. You don't have to do it alone. You can do it with the accountability and care of a powerful group of women around you, who will inspire you, challenge you, and help you create what you most deeply desire.

There are shifts that happen when women are physically together that simply do not happen in any other way.

— the heart of The Unfolding

We need more real life. Lived together.

Real life lived together. The Unfolding is built around 12 in-person immersions across the arc of a year, each one a full Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Six unhurried hours to sink into ourselves and each other. And a call between each to ground our learnings.

We see this intentional together time as the antidote to the intensity and velocity of life in the modern world. So much of our connection happens through screens, in fragments, squeezed between the next thing.  For a female body, hyperconnectivity and the relentless push toward productivity have robbed us of our essential need for slowness and savoring.

Through The Unfolding, we're claiming time for ourselves and with one another as essential emotional and spiritual nourishment. By showing up steadily, month after month, we create the conditions for the quiet whispers of our inner knowing to finally be heard.

Together, we'll build an intimate community and a sacred, well-held space where every part of you is welcome, supported, and celebrated.

Friends Embracing Outdoors

Marisa helped me go from someone who was afraid to use her voice, to someone who felt more confident in her abilities, in her gifts, and in who she is as a person. She is a person you can feel safe with, a person you can trust, and a person who catalyzes transformation.

Why a year?

A year holds a whole cycle of life.
You get to practice across all seasons and through through the inevitabilities of the human experience.

You need enough time to become honest about what is no longer working.

You can’t know yourself in one moment.

It’s impossible to imagine, dream, or create without time and space.

Being known happens slowly.
Someone has to know who you were to notice what’s changing.

A year gives us time and space for new parts of ourselves to emerge and be witnessed.

Committing to a full year is a powerful act - a promise to yourself that
your life is worth tending.

The year has a shape
(and it's not a straight line)

MONTHS 10 - 12

MONTHS 1 - 3

We begin by slowing down and building the foundation for the year ahead.

We'll practice:

  • Creating spaciousness

  • Exploring our beliefs, stories, & habitual ways of being

  • Building trust in ourselves & the circle

Guiding Question:
Who am I today and what new parts of me want to be seen?

MONTHS 4 - 6

We'll follow the listening further down into places we usually avoid.

We'll explore:

  • The protections that keep us small

  • The parts of ourselves we've hidden in order to be loved

  • The wisdom we turn away from

Guiding Question:

What have I turned away from in myself?

MONTHS 7-9

Now we explore the choices we get to make from this new place.

As a community, we’ll:

  • Step into power, choice, and voice

  • Name the commitment we are prepared to make to ourselves

  • Create an action a plan to support your commitment through the inevitable waves of doubt

    Guiding Question:
What am I ready to choose for myself?

Finally, we integrate the insights and pull them into our life.

Together we'll:

Ask whether the way we're actually living reflects what we believe

Tend the life that is ours and release responsibility for what isn't

Choose consciously what we want to organize our lives around going forward

Guiding Question

What will I do with this life that is mine?

Marisa Belger

Marisa is a certified coach, facilitator, and writer who supports women through the changes that build them into something new.

She is co-author of The First Forty Days: The Essential Art of Nourishing the New Mother, the bestselling guide to supporting a woman as she moves through the rite of passage that is motherhood and has been leading women in workshops and retreats for years.

Her coaching approach is influenced by Indigenous wisdom traditions, Buddhist psychology, mindfulness and contemplative practice, nervous-system regulation, and neuroplasticity. She has spent decades exploring how insight becomes lived change, and what it takes for women to become more honest and more able to trust what they know.

Her own path has been shaped by motherhood, co-parenting her two teens with their fathers and their partners, and a relentless spiritual curiosity.

What matters most to her now is creating spaces where women have enough time, depth, and connection to hear themselves more clearly and live from that place.

Lauren Hauser

Lauren is a leadership and relationship coach, facilitator. She’s spent over 15 years helping people - most recently leading learning and talent development - and through her coaching work with Logan Ury, has helped build a more honest relationship with himself and the choices he’s actually making.  Her own path here started with unplugging from chronic stress, urgency, and patterns of people-pleasing and overfunctioning.  This is now the work she helps other women do to live more fully and from a deep, pleasurable aliveness in themselves and in their relationships.  She has spent decades designing learning experien Her training spans numerous modalities, and is a certified Integral Coach from New Ventures West, and accredited with the International Coaches Federation. She has both worked leading teams and impact work in the non-profit space, as well as guiding leaders and teams in corporate tech. She is an avid spiritual meditator and is currently training as a feminine embodiment practitioner with John Wineland and rooted in my own ongoing therapy and coaching supervision work.

FAQ

How many women will be in the group?

This is our first year-long circle and we will be looking at no more than 15 women in the circle and program. We care to reflect the power of diversity in our group, and you will be joined by women from a wide range of backgrounds, as well as intergenerational ages (30-60s), backgrounds, incomes, sexual orientations, and life experiences.

Do I need experience to join this?

No - we deeply encourage any women who have the call to go deeper into their lives and who has a genuine curiousity and openess to learn and grow in a container of women to join us. We recognize for some, being in a group of women IS the growth edge. We welcome you fully here and look forward to talking about it with you.

What if I miss a Saturday?

We recognize that life happens and misses can occur. We ask that you can comfortably make at least 10 of the 12 Saturday Immersions and Integration calls. Our live sessions are not recorded which does mean you miss the live experience, but you will still receive support from the group, and a follow-up recap from us.

What does a Saturday look like?

Each immersion is a full day from 10 am to 4 pm, with a gentle rhythm that lets you arrive, go deep, and leave feeling integrated.

We begin by arriving and settling in with tea, giving you time to land. Then we move into an embodiment practice to slow down and come back into your body, followed by an opening circle where each woman shares where she is and what she's bringing that day.

Midday, we gather for a shared lunch, a chance to connect more informally and enjoy each other's company.

In the afternoon, we explore the month's deep-dive theme through reflection, conversation, and practices tied to the season of the year we're in.

We end with integration and closing, taking time to name what you're carrying forward into your life until we meet again.

Every gathering is a little different, but this rhythm gives each day a sense of steadiness and care.
